Dragons FTC Team 10523

Team History
Our rookie season was full of accomplishment and we proved ourselves to be a more than adequate team. While things looked pretty bleak in our first two tournaments, we made our stand at Goodyear to qualify us for regionals. We then supported the Valley Christian Teams(2844 Valley X Robotics and 8640 Trojan Robotics in the Regional Finals. Smaug, our robot, was close to being the difference to secure our win, but was blindsided by a rule that we were unaware of. We are proud of the fight we fought and were happy to return the next year.

Houston World Championships
We had another year end at regionals. Again, we were proud of what we have achieved in just two short years. When we got home after regionals, we talked about how to get ready for next year. We came up with a list of intriguing projects which included upgrading our lab, building a robot that could support a human, and this website. We looked toward our future, thinking that we had no chance to win the lottery ticket to world.
Over Springbreak, our coach sent out a flurry of emails and texts. We got the pick to go. Most of us thought it was an extravagant practical joke. It was not.
Next month we were gearing up to drive to Texas with our improved robot. Unfortunately, we were not as successful as we had hoped, however we all became closer as a team and truly bonded.
